CryptoVault file transfer

You can transfer CryptoVault data between your iPhone/iPod and a computer using various methods.

Data can be downloaded to the iPhone/iPod from a HTTP server or FTP server.
Data can be uploaded to a FTP server.
Data can be transferred in both directions using CryptoVault's built-in web server - this is the easiest method.

Upload

You can upload all your encrypted data for backup purposes or transfer it to another iPhone/iPod running CryptoVault.

When uploading via FTP, all vault files and images are zipped into a single file and transferred to the destination.

Using the internal web sever files can be transferred individualy.

Data files are stored in a folder named "data". The "data" folder has one subfolder for each "vault" you have created.

Download

You can download vault files you have saved, icons and templates.

Icons

Using the built-in web sever icons can be transferred individualy.

To add new icons via FTP, create a zip file with one or more new icons following these guidelines:

  • Icons should be no larger than 48x48 pixels

  • The directory structure MUST begin with "icons" (lowercase) as the root directory name followed by an icon category directory and icon files:
  • icons/Banks/icon1.png                  icon2.png icons/Other/icon1.png icons/MyIcons/icon1.png                     icon2.png                     icon3.png
